From the app (straight away)
- Open Vincla and sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Go to Settings: the gear at the top right. If you only support someone else, it's in the ⋮ → Settings menu.
- If you want to keep a copy, first tap Export my data (in the first section, Your account).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Type the word it asks for to confirm. Your account and all your data are deleted right then, for good.
Without the app (by email)
Write to soporte@vincla.eu from the email address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my Vincla account". You don't need to give a reason.
So that nobody can delete an account that isn't theirs, if the message doesn't come from that address we'll ask you to confirm from it. We'll delete the account and all its data within 30 days at most (usually much sooner) and let you know when it's done.
What gets deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your account: email, password or Google sign-in | Deleted. |
| Your profile and settings | Deleted. |
| Everything you log: period, mood, symptoms, pain, energy, sleep, sex drive, sex, contraception, pills, notes, what affects your cycle, "What helps me" notes | Deleted. |
| Your bond with another person and what you shared with them | The bond is undone and they no longer see anything of yours. |
| What you asked for with "Ask for something", quick messages and thank-yous | Deleted. |
| Your phone's identifiers for notifications | Deleted. |
| Your Premium | Deleted from Vincla. If you were paying for a subscription, cancel it in Google Play too (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions), because deleting your account doesn't cancel it. |
What's kept, and why
- Provider backups: automatic database backups (Supabase, in the European Union) delete themselves within 7 days at most. They're only used to restore the service if something fails.
- Technical security logs from the provider (what was requested and when, without the content), for a short time.
- Purchases: Google Play keeps a record of what you paid, under its policy and tax law. Vincla never sees your card details.
- Gifts: if you gave Premium to someone else, they keep it until it ends, but without any of your data.
- Anonymous analytics and reason for leaving: if you turned on usage analytics or chose why you were leaving, that data contains nothing that identifies you, so it can't be linked to your account. It deletes itself after 25 months.
- Founder account: if yours was one, your email stays on the founders list, so if you come back with it you get back what you had. If you'd rather we remove it, just email us and we'll delete it.
- Internal log: if we gave you Premium or helped you through Vincla's admin tools, that entry may include your email. It deletes itself after one year.
Deleting only some data
Without deleting your account, in the app you can:
- Stop sharing any item with your bond, one by one, in Your bond → Privacy, or unlink.
- Remove what affects your cycle in Settings → What affects your cycle.
- Delete your "What helps me" notes.
To delete any other specific data, write to us at soporte@vincla.eu from your account's email address.
